Speech City
Defend your base by labelling each marching word with its correct part of speech before it breaks through.
How to play
Words advance down four lanes toward your base. Aim at a lane, then fire the turret matching the front-most word's part of speech — noun, verb, adjective, adverb and more. A correct tag neutralises the word. When a word could belong to more than one category, a sentence appears so you can judge it in context. Any word that reaches the base costs a life.
- Select a lane, then choose the part of speech that fits its leading word.
- Correct tags stop the front word; wrong ones waste the shot.
- Read the shown sentence for ambiguous words.
- Lose lives as words reach the base; survive as long as you can.
Controls
- Desktop: click a lane or press 1-4 to aim, then click a part-of-speech turret or its hotkey (N V A d P r C).
- Phone & tablet: tap a lane to aim, then tap the matching part-of-speech button.
Game modes
- Daily seeded wave or endless Practice.
Tips & strategy
- Clear the lane whose front word is closest to the base first.
- For words that flip between noun and verb, let the sentence decide before firing.
- Keep an eye on every lane — a single overlooked word can end the run.
