Tower of Letters

Letter tiles rise steadily from the bottom. Drag across adjacent tiles to spell a word of three or more letters; clearing it removes its path and every tile sharing the word's rarest letter, then the stack settles. A daily mandate letter must appear in each scoring word, or the stack rises faster.

• Spell 3+ letter words by tracing 8-adjacent tiles.
• Each word also wipes out every tile carrying its rarest letter.

• The game ends when the stack overflows the top.

The original rule is that clearing a word also removes every tile sharing that word's rarest letter.

That makes letter frequency into strategy. English letters are wildly unequal — E and T are everywhere, J, Q and Z almost nowhere — so a word built around a rare letter clears far more of the board than a longer common word, and the best play is often not the best word.
