How to play

A list of candidate words is shown, one of which is the hidden target. Pick an attribute the target genuinely has and the guesser drops every candidate that does not share it. Keep choosing true clues to whittle the list down to a single word. The fewer clues you spend and the faster you solve, the higher you score.

• Each clue must be a real attribute of the hidden word.
• Picking it eliminates every candidate lacking that attribute.
• Narrow the list to one word to win the round.
• A hint button suggests the most efficient next clue.

Controls

• Desktop: click an attribute button to give that clue; click the suggest button for a hint.
• Phone & tablet: tap an attribute to give the clue. Mouse or touch only — no typing needed.

Game modes

• Daily seeded puzzle or endless Practice, at Easy, Medium or Hard.

Tips & strategy

• Choose clues that split the remaining candidates roughly in half for the fastest cull.
• Avoid attributes shared by almost every word — they barely shrink the list.
• Watch which words a clue would remove before committing to it.
