Mash for speed, then nail the timing, sprint, jump and throw your way to the podium.
Compete in a series of athletics events. Rapidly alternate-tap to build running speed, then release a jump or throw at the right instant and angle to maximize distance. Hit the qualifying marks to advance through the events.
Gold Sprint revives Track & Field, released by Konami in 1983, the game that turned athletics into a test of how fast you could hit a button.
Each event splits into two problems: build speed by alternating the run buttons as fast as your hand allows, then release at an angle. The angle is where the game actually lives — the long jump and javelin reward a narrow window that most players overshoot while still thinking about the sprint. Qualifying times rise each round, so a scrappy first event costs you later, and cabinets famously suffered for it: players used coins, combs and the heels of their hands.
Gold Sprint is an original free browser revival of the classic button-mash athletics game, with Easy/Normal/Hard difficulty and a daily event. No download required.
