How to play
Push right through each stage, gunning down shooters, turrets and grenade-throwers. Smash open weapon crates to swap your pistol for a shotgun or heavy machine-gun, free captives along the way for bonus points, and set down a portable shield to soak incoming fire. Reach the end of the stage and beat its boss to advance, carrying your score and lives forward.
Aim up, down or diagonally while moving to hit enemies on any side.
Pick up weapon crates for limited-ammo shotguns and heavy machine-guns.
Drop cover to block bullets, then pick it back up when you move on.
Lob grenades to flush out turrets and grouped soldiers.
Controls
Desktop: A/D or Left/Right to move, W/Up to aim up, S/Down to aim down in air, Z to jump, Space or J to shoot, K for grenade, C to drop or grab cover, R to restart.
Phone & tablet: keyboard recommended, this game uses keyboard input and has no on-screen touch controls.
Tips & strategy
Deploy your shield facing the heaviest fire and peek out to return shots safely.
Save grenades for clustered turrets and the boss rather than lone soldiers.
Keep moving forward, standing still lets shooters and throwers zero in on you.
Origins
Iron Dash revisits the run-and-gun shooter of the late 1980s, blast through soldiers and emplacements, grabbing heavy weapons and grenades, freeing prisoners and toppling a boss at each stage's end. A genre famous for its two-player intensity.
