Lane Hop

Cross a roaring highway and a treacherous river one careful hop at a time.

How to play

Guide your hopper from the bottom to the safe bays at the top. First comes a multi-lane road of moving traffic you must thread; then a river you can only cross by riding floating logs and turtles, because the water itself is deadly. Fill all the home bays to clear the stage.

• On the road, time your hops to slip between vehicles — a single collision ends the run.
• On the river, land on logs and turtles and ride them; stepping into open water (or a diving turtle) is fatal.
• Reach an empty home bay to bank progress, then start the next hopper across.

Controls

• Desktop: Arrow keys or WASD to hop in four directions; Space spends a Surge charge for a boost.
• Phone & tablet: swipe on the playfield to hop in any direction — full touch support.

Tips & strategy

• Hop onto the back of a log so you have room to ride before you need to jump off.
• Don't chase the far bays first — fill the nearest open bay to lock in points.
• Save Surge charges for moments when the lane ahead is briefly clear.

Lane Hop revives the road-and-river crossing game that was a sensation in the early 1980s — guide a hopper across lanes of speeding traffic, then a river of drifting logs and turtles, into the safe bays beyond. Its simple, perilous grid made it one of the era's most recognizable hits.
