How to play
You work four bars but stand on only one at a time, at its right-hand end. Patrons come in from the left and walk toward you, and a drink slid down the bar pushes them back — pushed all the way off the left end, they are served. Let one reach you unserved and it costs a life.
Sliding a drink spends a mug from a small finite pool. With an empty pool you cannot slide at all.
A served patron often flings the empty back down the bar; catch it to return that mug to the pool.
A missed empty falls off the right end and breaks, costing you a life.
A drink that reaches nobody slides off the left end and is wasted, and enough waste costs a life too.
Rewind is a rationed action that pulls the most recent drink or returning mug back through time and refills it into the pool.
So you are juggling the same few glasses on a timeline you can partly undo.
Controls
Desktop: Up/Down (or W/S) to hop between bars, Space to slide a glass, R to rewind a mug. Keyboard recommended.
Phone & tablet: keyboard play recommended for fast bar-switching.
Tips & strategy
Always position to catch the empty after you serve, losing mugs is what ends runs.
Spread your attention across all four bars; a single neglected lane fills fast.
Use Rewind to recover a mug when you're about to run dry, not as a casual reset.
Origins
Last Call recreates Tapper, released by Bally Midway in 1984, in which a bartender works four long bars at once.
Drinks slide the length of the bar, customers advance toward you, and a served customer slides back — throwing an empty mug you also have to catch. So every bar runs two flows in opposite directions and you are the only thing servicing both. The game gets its pressure not from speed alone but from that split: the bar you are least worried about is the one accumulating empties. It originally shipped with brewery branding, later swapped for a root-beer version.
