The Divide
A left set and a right set are split by a single secret rule — work out what separates them, then sort each newcomer to the correct side.
How to play
You're shown two example groups of figures that differ by one hidden rule. New figures arrive one at a time and you decide whether each belongs on the left or the right. Before each call you set a confidence wager — get it right and you earn more, get it wrong and you lose more. Sort every newcomer correctly to certify the rule.
- Study the two example sets and infer the dividing rule
- Sort each newcomer left or right
- Wager 1–3 stars of confidence per call
- Sort the whole batch correctly to certify
Controls
- Desktop: click a confidence wager, then click the LEFT or RIGHT button.
- Phone & tablet: tap the wager and the side — touch friendly.
Game modes
- Daily: one shared seeded problem per day
- Practice: endless fresh problems
Tips & strategy
- Look for the simplest single difference first — colour, size or count — before reaching for compound rules
- Keep your wager low while you're still testing a hypothesis, then raise it once the pattern holds
- If a newcomer surprises you, your rule is probably wrong — revise before the next sort
