Draught Deck

It looks like checkers, but you don't pick a piece freely — a hand of three cards decides which pieces may move, so you play the hand you're dealt, not the board you want.

How to play

Capture or block your opponent's pieces by standard checkers rules, but every turn you first choose a card from your hand that names which pieces are eligible to move. Pick the card, then a glowing piece and its square. If no card can move, discard one to redraw.

• Mandatory captures are enforced — if a jump exists, you must take it.
• Reach the far row to crown a king with full king movement.
• When your whole hand is dead, discard a card to draw a fresh one.
• Win by capturing all enemy pieces or leaving them with no legal move.

Game modes

• Versus CPU: Easy, Medium or Hard opponents.
• 2-player: pass-and-play on one device.
• Online: host an invite, join with a code, or quick-match a stranger.
• Seeding: pick Random deals or a shared Daily deck.

Controls

• Desktop: click a card, then click a highlighted piece and its destination square.
• Phone & tablet: tap a card, then tap the piece and square — fully touch-friendly.

Tips & strategy

• Hold a flexible card back for the turn a forced capture appears.
• Only discard when truly stuck — burning a redraw can hand the tempo to your rival.
• Push toward kings; a crowned piece is eligible to far more card-driven moves.
