Dropline

Drop discs into the grid and race to line up four in a row before your opponent does.

How to play

Players alternate dropping colored discs into columns; each disc falls to the lowest open slot. Be the first to line up four of your discs in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Block your opponent's threats while building your own.

• Choose a column and your disc stacks on top of what's already there.
• Line up four of your discs in any direction to win.
• Watch for double threats your opponent can't block in a single move.

Controls

• Desktop: hover a column to preview, then click to drop your disc.
• Phone & tablet: tap a column to drop into it.

Game modes

• Versus the computer with easy, medium and hard AI (alpha-beta search).
• Two-player hot-seat on one device.
• Online play against another person.

Tips & strategy

• Fight for the center columns — they touch the most winning lines.
• Build threats on two axes at once so a single block can't stop both.
