Roll along the grid painting edges and filling boxes while enemies chase you down the same lines.

How to play

Travel along a lattice of lines, painting each edge as you go. Complete the borders of rectangles to fill them, and paint the whole grid while staying ahead of the enemies that patrol the same lines.

• Trace edges of the grid to paint them
• Close off rectangles to fill them in
• Paint the entire lattice to clear the stage
• Avoid the enemies on the lines

Controls

• Desktop: arrow keys or WASD to move and paint, Space to use the paint-roller that wipes enemies
• Phone & tablet: tap controls supported on touch devices

Tips & strategy

• Close small rectangles first to lock in fills before enemies cut you off
• Save the roller sweep for when an enemy traps you on a line
• Work outward from completed areas so you always have an escape edge

Roller Grid draws on the lattice-painting maze game of 1981 — trace a grid to paint its edges and fill the boxes while enemies stalk the lines in lock-step with your moves, with corner traps to turn the tables. A clever, rhythmic cousin of the maze games.
