Quint Twist

Quint Twist is a strategy game on a 6×6 board divided into four 3×3 quadrants. Each turn has two steps: first place one of your marbles on any empty cell, then rotate any quadrant a quarter-turn clockwise or counter-clockwise. The twist scrambles part of the board, so threats appear and vanish as the quadrants spin.

You win by making a line of five of your own marbles, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, and lines may run straight across the quadrant seams. The win is checked after the rotation, so the right twist can complete your line or break your opponent's.

• Place a marble, then twist a quadrant, both steps are required to finish a turn.
• A line of five may cross from one quadrant into another.
• Once per game you may Lock a quadrant, freezing it so your opponent can't rotate it on their next turn.

• Desktop: click an empty cell to place a marble, then click one of the ⟲ / ⟳ arrows beside a quadrant to twist it. Use the Lock a quadrant button to freeze one for a turn.
• Phone & tablet: tap a cell to place, then tap a rotation arrow, no keyboard needed.

• Vs Computer, Easy, Medium or Hard; pick whether you play first or second.
• 2-Player, pass-and-play on one device.
• Online, create an invite code, join a friend, or quick-match a live opponent.

• Think of the twist as a second move: place a marble where a rotation will swing it into a threat.
• Watch both colours, the same rotation that helps you can hand your opponent a five, so look before you turn.
• Save your one-time Lock for the moment a single quadrant rotation is your opponent's only winning idea.
