Place your fleet, then hunt the hidden enemy grid — one shot at a time in a battle of deduction.

How to play

Lay out your fleet of ships on your grid, then take turns firing single shots at the opponent's hidden grid. Each shot is a hit or a miss; sink a ship by hitting every cell it occupies. Use hits and misses to deduce where the remaining ships lie. Sink the entire enemy fleet before yours goes down.

• Position your ships, horizontally or vertically, before the battle.
• Fire one shot per turn and read the hit/miss pattern.
• Sink every enemy ship to win.

Controls

• Desktop: click to place ships and click a cell on the enemy grid to fire.
• Phone & tablet: tap to place and tap to shoot.

Game modes

• Versus the computer with easy, medium and hard AI.
• Online play against another person.

Tips & strategy

• After a hit, probe the four neighboring cells to find the ship's orientation, then run the line.
• Space your hunting shots in a checkerboard — no ship can hide entirely between them.
