President

Out-rank three rivals, dump your hand first to take the throne, and dodge the bottom rung.

How to play

Someone leads a single card or a set of equal-rank cards. Each player in turn must beat it with the same count at a higher rank or pass. Empty your hand first to climb toward President; finish last and you become Scum, owing tribute next round.

• Lead any card or set; followers must match the count with a higher rank
• Pass if you can't or won't beat the play
• Emptying your hand first leads the next trick
• First to a set point total wins the match

Controls

• Desktop: click cards to select, then click Play or Pass
• Phone & tablet: tap cards and buttons (pointer and touch supported)

• Daily seeded and Practice games against three computer opponents
• Online: four-player matches

Tips & strategy

• Break up your high cards across tricks rather than wasting them on small leads
• Save a strong pair or triple to seize the lead when it matters
• Watch who is nearly out and force passes to slow them down
