How to play
Each turn you take one card from the face-down stock or the top of the discard pile, then discard one card. Build sets of three or four of a kind and runs of three or more cards in the same suit. When your unmatched cards (deadwood) total 10 or less, you may knock to lay down and score the difference.
Take a card from the stock or the discard, then discard one to end your turn
Knock with deadwood of 10 or less; knock with zero deadwood for gin and a bonus
If the knocker is not gin, the defender can lay off cards and may undercut for extra points
First player to reach the target score wins the game

Tips & strategy
Watch what your opponent takes from the discard pile, it hints at the melds they are chasing
Shedding high cards early lowers your deadwood in case they knock first
Holding for gin is tempting, but a low knock often scores safely before the hand turns against you
