Plant crops and allocate a fixed reservoir of water over thirty days to grow the most valuable harvest. The reservoir never refills.

• Favour fast-maturing crops early to bank water-efficient wins
• Cut losses on a wilting plot rather than pouring good water after bad
• Check the day's weather before deciding how much to water
