Borrowed Light
One beam, many zones — ration the single spotlight to grow each zone before the dark wilts it.
How to play
Your terrarium holds several zones of growing organisms, but you own only one beam of light. Each tick you point it at a single zone — that zone glows and grows while every other zone dims and declines. A zone left in the dark too long dies. Keep them all alive across the run and grow as much total biomass as you can.
- Aim the light at one zone per tick; doing so also advances the clock one tick.
- The lit zone gains health; all unlit zones lose it.
- A zone that stays dark past its limit dies for good — watch the dark counter.
- Final score rewards surviving zones and total biomass at the end of the run.
Controls
- Desktop: click a zone to shine the beam there and advance the tick.
- Phone & tablet: tap a zone to aim the light — one tap per turn.
Game modes
- Daily: a shared seeded terrarium everyone tends that day.
- Practice: endless fresh terrariums to chase your best biomass.
- Difficulty: Calm, Balanced and Fragile change how fast zones wilt and how unforgiving the dark is.
Tips & strategy
- Triage the dimmest zone first — rescuing a near-dead zone beats over-feeding a healthy one.
- Build a rotation so no zone ever reaches its dark-death limit.
- Late in the run, pour light into your strongest zones to pump up final biomass.
