Pairs of blobs fall into your well. Position and rotate each pair so four or more of the same colour touch, they pop, and anything above collapses down. A single drop that triggers several pops in a row is a chain, and bigger chains dump junk blobs on your rival.
Blobline revisits Puyo Puyo, released by Compile in 1991. Pairs of coloured blobs fall, four of a kind connected in any shape pop, and whatever sat above them collapses into the gap — which can pop again, and again, without you touching the controls.
Chaining those collapses is the whole game. A player who clears blobs as soon as they match will lose to one who spends thirty seconds stacking a structure that detonates in eight stages, because each stage dumps a row of colourless nuisance blobs on the opponent. It is a competitive puzzle whose real subject is building a trap in plain sight and hoping the other player runs out of room before you run out of nerve.
