Dig your own tunnels for cherries and fling a bouncing power-ball at the monsters on your tail.

How to play

Carve paths through a filled field, scooping up every cherry while monsters give chase. Throw your bouncing power-ball down a corridor to take them out before they reach you.

• Dig in any direction to clear paths and collect cherries
• Hurl the power-ball to bounce through and squash monsters
• Clear the field of cherries to advance

Controls

• Desktop: arrow keys or WASD to move and dig, Space to throw the power-ball
• Phone & tablet: on-screen controls supported on touch devices

Tips & strategy

• Bank the bouncing ball down a straight tunnel where monsters are lined up
• Dig escape branches before you're cornered
• Lure monsters into a single corridor, then fire one shot through all of them

Origins

Cherry Digger recreates the dig-maze game of 1982 — tunnel through the field gathering cherries, hurl a bouncing power-ball at the monsters, and drop giant apples to crush them, spelling a word for a bonus. A bright, inventive cousin of the dig-and-chase games.
