Understaffed
One worker, too many jobs — lay out a theme park and then sprint your lone employee across it before the to-do list catches fire.
How to play
Understaffed is a turn-based management puzzle. You command exactly one worker who must physically walk to every job. Facilities you place spawn jobs on a timer, and each job carries a countdown — service it in time for cash, or eat a penalty and a satisfaction hit when it expires.
- Spend your budget to build snack stalls, rides and info kiosks — where you put them shapes the whole route.
- Each turn, click a cell inside the worker's reach to move there and instantly service any jobs on that tile.
- Relocate facilities for a small fee to tighten a sprawling layout into a tidy loop.
- End the turn to let new jobs spawn and overdue ones expire; survive every turn of the shift for the best score.
Controls
- Desktop: click a tool to select Move, Build or Relocate, then click the grid; click a reachable cell to move and service.
- Phone & tablet: tap the same tools and grid cells — the whole game is pointer-driven, no keyboard needed.
Tips & strategy
- Cluster high-value facilities near the centre so your capped reach can cover them in a single hop.
- Watch the urgency rings — red means one turn left, so prioritise those tiles over fresh jobs.
- On harder shifts the worker moves slower and the map is bigger, so keep your build footprint compact rather than chasing income.
Game modes
- Daily: everyone gets the same seeded shift each day to compare scores.
- Practice: a fresh random layout any time, across Easy, Normal and Hard.
