Subdivide
Listen to a bar once, then tap it back on every subdivision pulse — the faint ghost dots, not just the loud notes.
How to play
The bar plays once with a count-in and metronome so you can hear it. Then a playhead sweeps across and you tap on every grid pulse: bright dots are the actual notes, faint dots are the in-between ghost subdivisions. The engine judges how close each tap lands.
- Tap on the whole subdivision grid, keeping the pulse, not only on the audible notes
- Each tap is graded perfect, good or miss by timing
- Accuracy across the bar becomes your grade and score
Controls
- Desktop: press Space on every pulse (Space also starts a round), or tap the stage
- Phone & tablet: tap anywhere on the stage on each pulse
Game modes
- Difficulty: Easy eighths, Medium triplets, Hard sixteenths
- Daily for a shared bar, Practice for fresh ones
Tips & strategy
- Internalize the steady ghost grid first; the notes sit on top of an even pulse you keep going throughout
- Count the subdivision out loud during the listen pass so your taps already have the pulse
What you'll learn
Subdivide builds an even internal pulse by asking you to tap every subdivision of the beat.
- Skills: rhythm, subdivision, internal pulse, timing
- Best for: roughly grades 3–12 (ages 8+)
- For parents & teachers: builds a steady internal pulse.
