Tempo Lock
Tap along while the click plays, then keep that exact tempo from your inner clock after it goes silent.
How to play
A click plays the target tempo for a few bars with a pulsing disc; tap along on each beat to lock in. Then the click cuts out and the canvas dims — you must keep tapping the identical tempo from memory. At the end your drift is measured against the target.
- Tap on every beat while the click is audible to internalize the tempo
- Hold the same tempo silently once the click stops
- Score is highest when your silent-phase beat drifts least from the target BPM
Controls
- Desktop: press Space or click the disc on every beat (Space also starts a round)
- Phone & tablet: tap the disc on each beat
Game modes
- Difficulty: Easy, Medium or Hard (longer silent stretches)
- Daily for a shared target, Practice for fresh tempos
Tips & strategy
- Settle into the click for the full audible section before it cuts out so the tempo is truly set
- Tap from a steady body motion rather than reacting each beat — momentum keeps the silent tempo even
