Run across stacked ingredients to knock them down the platforms and assemble every burger.

How to play

Ingredients sit on a lattice of platforms and ladders. Walk all the way across a bun, patty, or topping and it drops to the layer below, stacking up into a finished burger at the bottom. Roaming food enemies chase you the whole time — squash them by dropping ingredients on them, or spray pepper to freeze them in place.

• Tread across every segment of an ingredient to send it falling.
• Drop an ingredient onto a chasing enemy to knock it down with the food for a bonus.
• Build all the burgers on the stage to clear it.

Controls

• Desktop: Arrow keys or WASD to walk and climb, Space to spray pepper.
• Phone & tablet: on-screen movement and pepper buttons make it playable by touch.

Tips & strategy

• Lure enemies onto an ingredient before you drop it for a multi-segment chain fall.
• Ration your pepper — save it for moments when you're cornered on a ladder.
• Plan a route that drops ingredients in sequence so you're never doubling back into a foe.

Origins

Stack Chef draws on the platform game of the early 1980s where a harried cook walks across giant burger ingredients to drop them down the girders and build the burgers, dodging walking eggs, hot dogs and pickles. A wonderfully odd twist on the climbing-platformer.
