Hunt enemy tanks across a stark wireframe battlefield from inside your own gun sight.

How to play

Pilot a tank in a first-person, vector-graphics arena. Rotate to scan the horizon, drive into position and fire when an enemy tank lines up in your sights — then move before they return fire.

• Rotate left and right to aim and search
• Drive forward and back to position and dodge
• Fire when a target is lined up
• Use obstacles for cover on the open field

Controls

• Desktop: Left / Right to rotate, Up / Down to drive, Space to fire (WASD also work)
• Phone & tablet: keyboard recommended for precise aiming

Tips & strategy

• Fire and immediately reposition so the enemy's shot misses
• Use blocks on the field to break line of sight while you reload
• Lead a moving tank slightly so your shell meets it

Origins

Tank Vector revisits the wireframe tank game of 1980 — a first-person duel on a vector battlefield of geometric obstacles, rotating and rolling to line up enemy tanks while watching the radar. Widely regarded as a forerunner of the first-person shooter.
