Ride your delivery round tossing papers onto porches and putting one through every canceller's window.
Was this fun?
How to play
You ride a paper round out to the end of the street and back again. Subscribers must get a paper on the porch; non-subscribers are fair game for a window, which pays a bonus. Your stock of papers is limited, so a throw that misses everything is genuinely gone — and passing a subscriber's house without delivering means they cancel, permanently.
Steer across lanes and control your speed; papers are thrown as you ride.
A delivery to a subscriber scores; a window on a non-subscriber scores a bonus.
Missing a subscriber costs you that subscriber for good, shortening tomorrow's round.
Papers are finite. Anything that lands in the street is wasted.
The route is out and back, so you pass every house twice — once in each direction.
Crashing into a hazard wrecks the bike and costs a life.

Tips & strategy
Deliver on the way out, not the way back. A missed subscriber cancels immediately, and the return leg is your second chance only if you still have papers.
Slow down before a cluster of houses. Speed is what makes you miss, and a missed throw costs a paper as well as the delivery.
Count your stock against the houses left. Running out halfway means every remaining subscriber cancels, which is far worse than a slow round.
Take the vandalism bonus only when you have papers to spare. It pays well and it is the first thing to cut when stock is short.
Subscribers compound. Losing one today makes every future round smaller, so protecting the list beats chasing bonus points.
Origins
The Round recreates Paperboy, released by Atari in 1985, with a cabinet built around handlebars rather than a joystick.
The scoring is the joke and the design at once. Subscribers must get a paper on the porch; non-subscribers are fair game for a window, and breaking one is worth points. So you are simultaneously doing a job well and doing vandalism, and the street has to be read as two different maps at once while dogs, cars and skateboarders come at you. Losing a subscriber shortens your route permanently, which makes a bad day compound into a worse week.
