Dash and swing through a deadly jungle where the gravity can flip from one screen to the next.

How to play

Race across a side-scrolling jungle, leaping hazards and snatching treasure before time and obstacles catch you out.

• Run left and right, jump pits, logs and crocodiles
• Swing on vines and release at the right moment to clear gaps
• Tunnel down to slip under trouble
• Watch the on-screen arrow: each screen's gravity may be inverted, so jump the correct way

Controls

• Desktop: A / D to run, Space or Up to jump (or release a vine), Down to tunnel
• Phone & tablet: tap the screen to jump and act (touch supported)

Tips & strategy

• Read the gravity arrow before every leap so 'up' is actually safe
• Let go of a vine at the top of the swing to carry the most distance
• Use tunnels to duck hazards you can't jump over in time

Origins

Vine Dash harks back to the jungle adventure-platformer of 1982 — run, leap and swing on vines over pits, logs, crocodiles and quicksand, racing the clock for treasure. One of the games that pointed the way toward the side-scrolling platformer.
