Defy gravity with a stuttering thruster and set your craft down without crashing.

How to play

Your lander is constantly pulled downward. Rotate to point your thruster and burn fuel to slow your fall and steady your angle, aiming to settle onto the landing pad gently and upright. Come in too fast, too steep, or off-target and you crash — and every burn drains a limited fuel tank.

• Manage descent rate: a slow, near-vertical approach is the only safe one.
• Watch your remaining fuel — running dry mid-descent means a hard fall.
• Touch down on the pad within the safe speed and angle to score the landing.

Controls

• Desktop: Left/Right arrows rotate, Up or Space fires the thruster, P pauses, R restarts. Keyboard recommended.
• Phone & tablet: keyboard play recommended for fine thrust control.

Tips & strategy

• Burn in short taps rather than one long blast to conserve fuel and keep control.
• Kill your horizontal drift early, then focus purely on a soft vertical descent.
• Higher difficulty tightens the safe-landing window — feather the throttle near the pad.

Soft Landing harks back to one of the very first video games — the lunar-lander simulation that grew out of 1960s mainframe programs into early arcade form. Fight gravity with a finite tank of fuel, killing your descent to set down gently on the pad. Pure physics, pure tension.
