Cog & Counter
A pointer rides a numbered ring that wraps around — nudge it with fixed steps to land on every glowing target before your move budget runs out.
How to play
A pointer sits on a ring of numbered cells. You can only move it by the puzzle's fixed +/− step sizes, and the ring wraps, so going past the top loops back to the bottom. Land exactly on each target to collect it. Collect them all before the move budget is spent. It's a planning puzzle about combining your step sizes — and the wrap — to reach every goal efficiently.
- Move only by the fixed step amounts provided.
- The dial wraps around, so steps carry over past the ends.
- Land precisely on a target to clear it.
- Collect every target within the limited move budget to win.
Game modes
- Daily (seeded): the same dial for everyone, in Easy, Medium, or Hard.
- Practice (random): fresh dials at your chosen difficulty.
Controls
- Desktop: click the +/− step buttons or use the keyboard to turn the dial; Reset dial returns to start.
- Phone & tablet: tap the step buttons to move the pointer around the ring.
Tips & strategy
- Order your targets to minimize total steps — sometimes the long way around the wrap is shorter.
- Think in terms of how your step sizes combine, like making change with fixed coins.
- Map the whole route before moving; resetting the dial doesn't refund spent budget.
What you'll learn
