Brewing Columns

Drop falling stacks of three gems, line up three or more of a colour to clear them, and every clear brews a potion gem into your next piece to set off bigger plays.

How to play

Brewing Columns is a falling-gem matching puzzle with a crafting twist. A vertical stack of three gems drops down the well; you slide it left and right and cycle the three colours within it before it locks. Lines of three or more matching gems in any direction — horizontal, vertical or diagonal — clear, then gravity drops everything above for chain cascades. Each clear brews one potion gem that drops into your next piece.

• Match three or more same-colour gems in any of the four directions to clear them.
• Cleared gems trigger cascades as the stack collapses for combo scoring.
• Every clear brews a potion — Freeze, Dye, Bomb or Shuffle — into your next falling piece.
• Match a potion gem in a line to fire its board effect; the game ends when the well tops out.

Controls

• Desktop (keyboard recommended): Left/Right or A/D to move, Up, Z or W to cycle the colours, Down or S to soft drop, Space to hard drop.
• Phone & tablet: this game is built for keyboard play and does not provide touch controls — best on a desktop or laptop.

Game modes

• Daily: a shared seed and piece order for everyone that day.
• Practice: a fresh random well each time.

Tips & strategy

• Cycle the colours mid-fall to land a gem exactly where it completes a diagonal — diagonals are easy to overlook.
• Position a brewed potion so it lands inside your next clear; a Bomb or Dye triggered into a cascade can chain into a huge combo.
