Codebreaker Market
Deduce a hidden colour code — but submitting a guess costs coins, and even the feedback pegs must be bought, so you must crack it before your budget runs dry.
How to play
Codebreaker Market is a colour-code deduction puzzle wrapped in a tight coin economy. The market hides a secret code of coloured pegs. You build a guess and submit it for coins, but the clue pegs are not given freely — after a guess you choose which information to buy: the count of right-colour-right-spot pegs, the count of right-colour-wrong-spot pegs, or a reveal of one secret position. Crack the code before your coins run out.
- Pick colours to fill the current row, then submit your guess (each guess costs coins).
- Open the market to buy black-peg counts, white-peg counts, or a position reveal about your latest guess.
- Stall too many turns with no progress and the market re-shuffles one secret peg — telegraphed by a warning.
- Win by guessing the exact code; lose if you can no longer afford any action.
Controls
- Desktop: click palette swatches to place pegs (or press number keys 1-9), click a placed peg to remove it, Backspace to undo, Enter or the Submit button to guess; click market buttons to buy clues.
- Phone & tablet: tap swatches, board pegs and market buttons — full touch support.
Game modes
- Difficulty: Easy, Medium and Hard adjust code length, colour count, budget and clue prices.
- Daily and Practice seeds, plus a toggle for whether the code may repeat colours.
Tips & strategy
- Buy clues sparingly — leftover coins drive your score, so squeeze the most deduction out of each purchase.
- Keep making real progress every turn; a wasted turn risks a peg re-shuffle that can invalidate clues you already paid for.
