Tune a living food web into balance, pull one thread and the whole population graph reacts in real time.

How to play
A food web of producers, prey and predators runs as a live simulation while a scrolling graph tracks every population. Your job is to keep each species inside its healthy band. Hold the whole web stable for a full cycle and the ecosystem is balanced, let a species crash to extinction and it collapses.
Release boosts a population; Cull reduces it
Remove deletes a node and triggers a cascade through everything that ate it or fed on it
Re-introduce restores a removed species to repair the web
Controls
Desktop: click the Release, Cull, Remove and Re-introduce buttons on each species row
Phone & tablet: tap the same on-screen action buttons, no keyboard needed
Game modes
Difficulty: Easy, Medium or Hard webs of increasing complexity
Daily and Practice seeds, plus Reset to restart the current web
Tips & strategy
Removing a predator often lets prey explode and starve the plants, watch two steps ahead
Small nudges beat big ones; over-correcting throws the next species out of band
Keep every original species present, missing nodes block the stability streak
What you'll learn
Web of Life is an ecosystem simulation that models predator-prey dynamics and trophic cascades, showing how a food web stays in balance.
Skills: ecology, food webs, predator–prey dynamics, trophic levels, systems thinking
Best for: roughly grades 6–11 (ages 11–16)
For parents & teachers: makes the fragility of ecosystems visible.
