Quietype
A typing test where you're breaking in, and every keystroke makes a sound — race the words while the guard's back is turned, then freeze when it listens.
How to play
Type the words on screen to make progress, but each keystroke is noise. A guard patrols on a rhythm: while it's looking away you can hammer the keys and burst through text, but when it turns to listen you have to go silent. Type at the wrong moment and your noise is heard — three strikes and you're caught.
- Type the displayed words accurately to advance.
- Burst-type while the guard is away; stop typing the moment it listens.
- Each careless keystroke during a listen adds a strike — three ends the run.
Game modes
- Daily — a shared seeded text and patrol pattern each day.
- Practice — endless runs to build speed and timing.
Controls
- Desktop: a physical keyboard is strongly recommended — you type the words directly.
- Phone & tablet: the on-screen keyboard works, though typing-speed games play best on a physical keyboard.
Tips & strategy
- Learn the patrol rhythm first, then chunk your typing into the safe windows.
- Don't finish a word into a listen phase — pause a beat and complete it after.
- Accuracy beats raw speed; a typo during a quiet window can still cost you progress.
