Liar's Dice

Five dice rolled in secret, one running bid on the table, and a single question every turn — raise the bluff or call it.

How to play

Everyone rolls five hidden dice. On your turn you either raise the standing bid — a claim about how many of a given face are on the whole table — or call 'Liar' on the previous bidder. Ones are wild and count toward any face.

When someone calls Liar, all dice are revealed and the true count is compared to the bid. If the bid holds, the caller loses a die; if it was a bluff, the bidder loses one. Lose all your dice and you're out — the last cup standing wins.

• A legal raise must increase the quantity, or keep the quantity and raise the face.
• Ones (wild) count as the bid's face when the dice are tallied.
• Each lost challenge costs a die; an emptied cup is eliminated.
• Win by being the last player with dice remaining.

Controls

• Desktop: use the on-screen bid builder — the +/- stepper sets the quantity and the face buttons pick the die, then click Bid or Call Liar.
• Phone & tablet: tap the stepper, face buttons and action buttons — fully touch-driven, no keyboard needed.

Game modes

• Vs Computer — face 2, 3, or 4 players' worth of CPU opponents with varied bluffing aggression.
• Daily & Practice — a shared seeded table each day, or fresh random games any time.
• Online — create an invite, join with a code, or quick-match a live opponent head-to-head.

Tips & strategy

• Count on your own dice plus the average across hidden cups — with wild ones, expect about a third of all dice to support a face.
• Make small, believable raises early; save aggressive jumps for when you can back them up.
• Call Liar when a bid creeps past what the table size can plausibly hold.
• Watch how many dice each opponent has left — desperate players with one die bluff hard.
