A pocket city-budget simulator: zone one small plot, balance taxes against services, and keep the town solvent and happy through the years.
Was this fun?
How to play
You run one 5x5 town plot. Pick a zone type, build it on an empty tile, then tune the tax and service sliders before ending the year. Survive the full run without a fiscal crisis to win.
Place Housing, Shops, Industry, and Parks, each costs money and trades population, income, ambience, and service load.
Set the tax rate (higher fills the treasury but can dent happiness) and service funding (must meet demand).
End the year to advance the simulation; watch treasury, population, and happiness shift, and brace for forecast disasters.
A balanced, populated, happy town that never goes bankrupt scores best.
Controls
Desktop: click a zone tool, click a tile to build, drag the tax/service sliders, click End Year.
Phone & tablet: tap tools and tiles, drag sliders with your finger, fully touch-friendly.
Tips & strategy
Keep a treasury buffer for forecast disasters instead of spending every dollar on growth.
Parks lift ambience but earn nothing, balance them against shops and industry that pay the bills.
