Steer each falling noun into its gender lane — der, die or das — and learn the endings that tell you which.

How to play

German nouns drop from the top of the screen, each in a column, while three lanes at the bottom read der, die and das. Steer the active falling noun left or right and drop it into the lane that matches its gender. Sort it correctly to score; the wrong lane costs you and adds pressure. Over time the recurring word endings start to reveal the gender for you.

Controls

• Desktop: Left/Right arrows or A/D to steer, Space/Down/S to drop; you can also click
• Phone & tablet: tap a lane to send the falling noun there

• Practice: fresh nouns every run

Tips & strategy

• Learn the reliable ending rules — -ung and -heit are die, -chen is das, and so on
• Decide the lane early while the noun is still high
• When a word breaks the pattern, commit it to memory so the next drop is automatic
