How to play

You face a ladder of fill-in-the-blank sentences. Each consecutive pair shares a vocabulary word, so when you solve one blank its letters leak into later blanks — the independent sentences interlock like a crossword. Work down the chain, using letters you've already revealed to crack the harder gaps.

• Read each sentence and work out the missing word
• Type your answer into the blank
• Solved letters carry forward into later blanks
• Use the leaked letters as clues to finish the ladder

Controls

• Desktop: type letters with the keyboard; use the on-screen keys, hint and enter buttons
• Phone & tablet: tap the on-screen keys to enter letters — fully touch-driven

• Easy, Medium and Hard lengthen the chain and harder vocabulary

Tips & strategy

• Solve the blanks you're sure of first to seed letters into the rest
• Use shared letters to constrain a stubborn gap
• Read the whole sentence for context — the surrounding words narrow the answer
