On a hexagon of cells, four-in-a-row wins — yet a careless three-in-a-row loses on the spot, so every stone is a tightrope.

How to play

Players alternate dropping stones onto empty hex cells. Lines are counted along the three directions of the hex grid, and the length of your runs decides the game in an instant.

• Make four (or more) of your colour in a line to win immediately.
• Make exactly three of your colour in a line, with no four, and you lose immediately.
• If a move completes both a three and a four at once, the four wins.
• White moves first; fill the board with no decisive line and the game is a draw.

Controls

• Desktop: hover an empty cell to preview whether it is safe, a trap, or a winning placement, then click to drop your stone.
• Phone & tablet: tap an empty cell to place a stone; the last move is ringed so you can track the position.

Game modes

• Versus AI at Easy, Medium or Hard, choosing to play White or Black.
• 2-player pass-and-play on one device.
• Online play: create an invite to share, join with a code, or quick-match a stranger.

Tips & strategy

• Grow open pairs that can still reach four rather than rushing a third stone that strands you on a losing three.
• Use the hover preview to spot trap cells where your own move would force a three.
• You can pressure the opponent into a position where every legal move completes a fatal three.
