Aim a burn from your spacecraft, then let gravity fly it. Bend your path with slingshots off the moving moons to reach the target orbit while spending as little fuel as possible.

Fuel is the right currency because it is the real one. Delta-v — not distance or time — is the budget a mission actually has, and a slingshot is valuable precisely because it changes a trajectory by borrowing momentum from a planet instead of spending propellant.
