Hex Heist

An asymmetric take on the classic hexagonal connection game — one player races to bridge the board while the other blocks and physically shoves stones to snap the chain.

How to play

Played on a rhombic board of hexagonal cells, the two sides have completely different goals. The Connector places stones to build an unbroken chain linking the left edge to the right edge. The Saboteur tries to stop that chain from ever crossing before the board fills up.

• The Connector wins the instant their stones connect left to right.
• The Saboteur can place blocker stones freely, or spend a limited Shove to push a Connector stone into an adjacent empty cell and break a link.
• If the board fills with no connection, the Saboteur wins — so every cell counts.

Controls

• Desktop: click an empty cell to place a stone. As the Saboteur, arm Shove, click one of your opponent's stones, then click an adjacent empty cell to push it.
• Phone & tablet: tap to place and tap through the Shove steps — the board is touch-friendly.

Game modes

• Versus computer: choose Easy, Medium or Hard, and pick whether you play the Connector or the Saboteur.
• 2-player: hotseat both roles on one device.
• Online: host an invite, join with a code or quick-match against another person.

Tips & strategy

• As the Connector, build along the shortest gap and keep two routes alive so a single shove can't sever you.
• As the Saboteur, save your limited shoves for the moment a chain is one cell from completing.
• Watch the on-screen connector gap readout — it tells you how close the bridge is to crossing.
