Amazons Ante

Commit your queen's move and arrow blind, then reveal at once — twin arrows cancel and clash.

How to play

Each round you secretly pick one amazon, move her like a chess queen, then fire an arrow from where she lands to burn a square forever. Your opponent commits a blind move too, and both reveal and resolve at the same instant. Wall the enemy in while keeping your own room — a side with no legal move after the reveal loses.

• Move an amazon any distance in a straight line, not through pieces or burned squares.
• Fire an arrow queen-wise from her landing square; that square burns and blocks everyone.
• Two arrows aimed at the same square cancel — neither burns.
• Two queens racing to the same square both fail and bounce back; an arrow into a square a queen just took fizzles.

Controls

• Desktop: click one of your amazons, click a green dot to move, then a gold dot to aim the arrow.
• Phone & tablet: tap your amazon, tap the move target, then tap the arrow target.

Game modes

• Vs CPU: an opponent that also commits blind, with Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty.
• 2-Player: pass-and-play on one device, each entering a secret move behind a hand-off screen.

Tips & strategy

• Predict where your rival wants to shoot and aim elsewhere — a cancelled arrow wastes their whole turn.
• Use the simultaneous reveal to contest key squares, since racing queens both rebound.
• Burn squares that shrink the opponent's space while leaving yourself an escape route.
