Amazons Ashfall
Move like a chess queen, then loose a burning arrow — and watch the fire creep across the board on its own.
How to play
Amazons Ashfall is the classic Game of the Amazons, a territory duel on a 10x10 board, with a twist: fire spreads after every move. Each turn has two steps, and you lose the moment you have no legal move left, so the contest is about sealing off the opponent while keeping room to breathe.
- Move one of your amazons any distance in a straight line, like a chess queen — never through a piece or fire.
- From where it lands, fire an arrow the same queen-wise way; that square burns forever and blocks everyone.
- After each move the fire spreads to a neighbouring square, so the board closes faster than in ordinary Amazons.
- Wall your rival into a dead end: whoever runs out of moves first loses.
Game modes
- Vs CPU: face the computer on Easy, Medium, or Hard.
- 2-Player: pass-and-play on one device.
- Online: create an invite, join with a code, or quick-match a stranger.
Controls
- Desktop: click one of your amazons, click a green dot to move, then click an orange dot to fire the arrow.
- Phone & tablet: the same flow by tapping — tap a piece, tap to move, tap to shoot; tap empty space to cancel.
Tips & strategy
- Use arrows to shrink the enemy's open space while protecting your own escape routes.
- Claim large open regions early — whoever can reach more empty squares usually wins.
- Mind the spreading ashfall; don't park an amazon where the creeping fire can box it in.
