Witness
Live a historic day from the crowd, then reconstruct what truly happened from accounts that don't agree.
How to play
First you experience a pivotal historic day as a face in the crowd, picking up partial, biased accounts from different factions. Then you reconstruct the event: order the moments into the sequence you believe really occurred, reconciling the conflicting testimonies into one coherent account.
- Different sources carry different biases and gaps
- In the reconstruct phase you arrange events into their true order
- Weigh disputed pairs where accounts contradict each other
Controls
- Desktop: click to move through the story and to order events in the reconstruction
- Phone & tablet: tap to advance and reorder — fully touch-friendly
Game modes
- Daily: one shared scenario each day
- Practice: more scenarios to investigate
Tips & strategy
- Note which faction each account favours and discount its slant
- Where two sources agree, you can usually trust the detail
- Resolve the disputed pairs last, after the clear events anchor the timeline
