Drone Anchor
A steady drone holds; slide your note against it and listen for the beating to slow and stop at the pure interval.
How to play
Each round names an interval to tune above a held drone. Drag the slider or the canvas to move your note; the screen shows the acoustic beating as a pulsing meter and a beats-per-second readout. When the beating stops, you are sitting on the pure, just-intonation pitch — lock it in. Six intervals make a challenge.
- Tune your note so the beating against the drone slows to nothing
- The meter pulses when detuned and steadies when pure; cents-off is shown too
- Lock in each interval; closer to pure scores higher
Controls
- Desktop: drag the tuning slider or drag across the canvas, toggle sound, hear the pure target, then Lock it in
- Phone & tablet: drag the slider or swipe the canvas to tune
Game modes
- Daily: a shared set of six intervals seeded from today's date
- Practice: fresh challenges on demand
Tips & strategy
- Turn sound on and tune by ear — the slowing beats are a clearer guide than the numbers
- Use Hear pure target to memorize the goal, then steer your note onto it
